CERTIFIED DIABETES EDUCATOR (CDE) INFORMATION


INITIAL CERTIFICATION:

Congratulations to all new CDEs! ADEU is proud to acknowledge and congratulate all new CDEs who recently attained this professional status. If you have gained initial certification as a CDE or and advanced practice certification (BC-ADM), please contact us through this website and your name will be added to this ADEU Website. The National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) will be conducting the CDE Exams twice per year. If you are planning on taking the CDE Exam, contact NCBDE. Contact information is listed on this webpage. If you would like to form a study group, contact ADEU through this website by clicking on Contact Us.


RECERTIFICATION:

Beginning in 2005, CDEs can renew their national certification by continuing education. Renewal by continuing education application is available through NCBDE.
