ADEU MEMBERSHIP
ADEU provides several benefits to its members. These benefits include:
� professional networking
� continuing education credits for credentialing
� scholarship opportunities
� diabetes care advocacy
Membership to ADEU is open to any health-care professional.
There are several categories of ADEU membership. Membership includes health care professionals directly involved in patient care as well as any person interested in diabetes education. Categories of membership include:
Active Member:
This category is a health-care professional who provides patient education or education for health-care providers. Active members must also be members of AADE
Associate Member:
This category is any person interested in diabetes education who does not qualify for Active Membership. This category is subdivided into:
(1)Active Corporate: Employee of a company involved in products for diabetes care
(2)Student Member:Student enrolled in any health-care program
Retired Member:
An active member of ADEU for at least five consecutive years who is retired from his/her position and is no longer employed.
The ADEU membership fee is $25 per year. AADE requires that ADEU members must be active members of AADE. Payment for ADEU membership is payed directly to AADE. You can go to AADE's website and pay your dues or mail your completed AADE application form indicating ADEU membership with your check to AADE.
